Another personal post
|I’ve been missing updating, and I’ve been having trouble trying to think of what I want to do another post about. So I thought I might talk a little about my relationship to this blog, what my plans are, and so on. I started this blog a while ago when my boyfriend and I were getting ready to move to California to talk about our travels and travails as we filled up the car and said good-bye to everything else we knew. I was coming looking for work and he was going to drive for Lyft for a while to support us. I ended up landing a great job at Samba TV doing software engineering, and life was pretty comfortable for a while. Anyway, what does this have to do with this blog. I’m now trying to focus on books and reading for women in their 20s-40s, so you’ll see some reading material that doesn’t appeal to everyone. In my reviews I try to be specific about who I think a book would be good for. Writing the reviews has been a lot of fun, I think I get a lot more out of the book and remember more about it when I write something down like that, even if it is hard to compress a whole book into two paragraphs.
The reason I haven’t updated in a while is the health issue I’ve mentioned a few times before flared up again, and I haven’t been able to do hardly anything. I just wish I could make this into something real, something beautiful, but sometimes other things in life get in the way. I feel like I have so little time, who ever has enough time? In a day, in a year, we look back and things are the same old, same old story. I’m currently reading a few things as usual, one is Tony Robbin’s Master the Game and it’s been pretty interesting so far. I’ve also been listening to a lot of music as I recover, so it’s great recovering artists that you haven’t listened to in a while and seeing the new things they’ve put out. Time moves so fast. We all have buses to wait for, and there’s always the question of how long the wait will be. I don’t really know what to say. I love you all, thanks for waiting for me. I hope to have something new soon.
